Founded by Betty Wong Tung in 1978, FERA International is the culmination of a young immigrant's ambition to continue her family's proud manufacturing legacy. Starting with just a few high-quality parkas and bibs, Betty plunged into the market determined to whet the appetite of a growing audience of American skiers.

FERA quickly went on to pioneer the pant category and cement our reputation for outstanding fit, quality and value. An obsession with fit and form led us to develop innovations like the unique stretch laminated insulation that continues to make our signature pants look and feel fantastic, no matter what body type.

With the success of our pant program, FERA quickly grew to incorporate a full line of outerwear and accessories - for adults and children alike - combining smart, elegant styling with snow sport functionality. To continue to cultivate our brand, FERA partnered with Meister™, an established manufacturer of quality wool and cotton knits, to develop a dynamic collection of base and mid-layers.

Over the years, as other brands have come and gone like the season's snowfall, FERA's commitment to delivering great product and service has stood the test of time. We insist on being hands-on throughout the design and production process. Our offices in Los Angeles and Hong Kong keep us privy to cutting edge fashion while allowing us to be closely involved with every aspect of production, ensuring our high quality standards. Today, our mission continues under a new generation of family ownership. Committed and driven, we love to spend our weekdays poring over fabrics, fit, and design, and spend our weekends and holidays testing gear with friends and family.
